STREETFELT TATTOO AND GRAFFITI SHOP: TATTOO HEALING AND AFTERCARE

 

Taking proper care of your new tattoo is very important to avoid infection and promote a nicely healed and great looking tattoo that you can enjoy for years to come! If you have any questions or concerns about your partially healed tattoo from our shop, please do not hesitate to call us or come in for advice.

 

Tattoo Aftercare:

You will leave your tattoo appointment with a bandage applied by the artist.

Remove bandage within an hour, wash the tattoo area with antibacterial soap and warm water using your fingertips (don’t scrub).

After washing, gently pat and let dry for 24 hours.

Apply a thin layer of Antibiotic Ointment (cream preferably) once or twice a day for 3-4 days – only until a scab has formed.

After a scab has formed, use unscented lotion daily in small amounts and wash your tattoo everyday.

Avoid the ocean, saunas, pools, soaking in bathtub or staying in direct sunlight for 2 weeks.

After 2 weeks when tattoo is healed sun screen can be applied over healed tattoo if going into the sun.
